After deciding to participate , I was really late getting started on Dephemerember. At this point I’ve managed to complete ephemera for five of the prompts, and been inspired to put together things just lying on my desk. So it’s been a real win despite the difficulties. This week, I’ll be sharing some of the things I’ve made, starting with the most recent prompt first, since today is Christmas and it has a Christmas component.
My original idea for “Halloween Meets Christmas” was fairly complicated. I wanted to take two birds associated with those holidays — a raven for Halloween and a cardinal for Christmas — and pair them with symbols from the opposite holiday. It would have made for a rather busy card, so I wound up doing only half of it.
I had ravens and some Christmas paper, so I put them together. I absolutely adore the results. I turned one of the images into a cover for a small notebook and the other is a pocket/tuck/bellyband with a bellyband on top.

My ephemera is much simpler than most of what I see on YouTube, but I expect I will get bored and start experimenting more some time soon.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
What does “Halloween Meets Christmas” make you think of?

That does look wonderful, Kit. What a great idea!
Thanks. I’m feeling a bit sheepish about my stuff… it’s so much simpler than what other people are posting. But I’m having fun and loving it, so I’m going with it. Merry Christmas!

Good to hear you are feeling better.
Merry Christmas
Sorry about that. I had to make a fix and apparently I was doing it right when you tired to check the post! It should be working now.
I’m feeling MUCH better (amazing how great we feel after being sick!).
Merry Christmas!!
