Doodling To Feel Better

After two weeks of being seriously ill, I am getting back to my normal routine. I spent part of my time in bed watching creative videos on YouTube. I knew I was finally feeling better when I actually got out my watercolors and tried something new.

My inspiration came from the stunning work recorded on the Hu Art Drawing channel. I particularly liked the Mini Watercolor Zentangle Tutorial.

My watercolor doodle is not mini — I used the whole page — and looks nothing like the one in the video. Instead, it reflects my current state of mind: a wild mess.

Is it art? Probably not. But the process of creating it helped me to feel a little better, which is reason enough for making it.
