Making Wednesday’s Doll

For Halloween this year, Kurt and I decided to be Lurch and Wednesday Addams. The most time-consuming part of our costumes was sewing the doll. She took me a day and a half to make, but I love the results.

A craft table with fabrics, quilting rulers, polyester stuffing, a sketched doll patter and doll body parts.

It took me three hours to get to this point.

I sewed a strip of fabric to the center of the dress to serve as a fake placket for the buttons.

The boots in the ugly middle stage. I wasn’t sure I could get these to work.

Once I added the trimmings, the boots looked great.

    1. I had fun with her. Since she doesn’t have a head, I figured she needed a lot of interest elsewhere.
