A quote by E.M. Forster helps me think better of inevitable changes.

Everything changes.

There are big changes (birth, marriage, death, new job, new home), small ones (new toothpaste, new blanket, new shoes) and all the ones in between.

It seems that there are some changes that are inevitable, things that cannot be avoided or controlled. My mother-in-law died this week, so I’m well aware that some changes happen no matter what we want, wish, or do.

Because of this, I’ve decided I’d like to look at the up-side of change. So I’m meditating on this quote:

We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

E. M. Forster

I know not every change can be a good thing. But maybe some of them could lead to something new that is also enjoyable.

Time to embrace the change and see what happens when we love our life just as it is.

Are you a fan of change? Do you fight it? What have you struggled to accept?
