I first saw Tony Foster’s Lockdown Diary during his talk at the Wild Wonder nature journaling conference two years ago. He painted things he saw on his daily walks during a 56-day COVID lockdown. My chronic conditions just make it all harder, forcing me to sacrifice some activities in order to do others. Three different families of Canada geese have been feeding in our yard and while I’ve been watching them closely, I hadn’t gotten out my journal to record my observations.
