  1. We all lost something when we lost Elizabeth Edwards. She was the epitome of courage, resilience, and grace under fire, if you will. I listened to some interviews of her done in her last year and they made a lasting impression as I was recovering from heart surgery at the time. From news accounts, even in her last moments she was comforting her children who were with her. Her last words were, “I’m okay. I’m okay.” Thanks for posting that quote.

    1. So glad you liked it. I’m afraid I don’t know much about her, but I appreciated the wisdom of these words.

      1. She was former VP candidate John Edwards’ wife – dealing with late stage breast cancer while he cheated on her and publicly humiliated her(inadvertently but still!!) And yet through it all she remained strong, poised (but without his sorry ass) and even wrote an uplifting book while dying. OMG! She HAS to be in my book!

         Thanks again Kit!
