Last April, I bought myself some fun objects at the thrift store to do my in-home yarn-bombing experiment. I finished the pig PJs in June, but haven’t thought much about it since then. The ceramic cow creamer I bought would probably still be sitting neglected in my studio if I hadn’t happened to sketch it for drawing class last week. As I was drawing it, it dawned on me that something was terribly wrong.

I dutifully posted this drawing on the class Facebook site, mentioning I had drawn “a cow creamer that thinks it’s a Siberian husky or a pig.”

One of the other students asked the critical question: “Does it have an udder?”

I turned my creamer over, and sure enough, boy parts, not girl parts.

No udder! My creamer is a bull pretending to be a cow!

My crazy knitting project is now crazier. I’m knitting pajamas for a bull creamer. Like bulls give milk. Or wear pajamas. This is so nuts.

Either because I was overwhelmed by the shocking news, or because I am just lazy, I’ve started with the easiest part of the project: the legs.

I’m in the middle of covering the neck and still trying to figure out how I am going to break up the body into pieces to knit. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d be happy to hear them.

Have you come across something as crazy (or crazier) than a bull creamer wearing pajamas? Tell us all about it!
